Darth Vader does not get enough credit for being one of the most Needlessly Fancy Villains ever both in the way he dresses and the way he carries himself.
I die a little bit each time someone says something like “but Anakin was so dramatic and said embarrassing things, while Vader was a scary badass who everyone totally did not ever laugh at!” I’m like man, I don’t know which Star Wars YOU were watching, my friend, but I don’t think it was the same one I was watching. I mean, sure, of course Vader is a “scary” villain and he obviously kicks ass, but also look at him. Darth Vader is RIDICULOUS. And he says hilarious, over the top stuff all the time. The guy MAKES HIS DEBUT in the OT in a cloud of smoke while posing. No one but Anakin Skywalker could be in there.
I truly love that Sidious gave him a cape. Like, he had that one all set to go from Day One of Darth Vader’s Suit. “Oh trust me, I’ve known this guy since he was nine. He is going to insist on a cape. I don’t want to listen to all the complaining that will occur if I don’t give him one.”

fuck this fandom
there’s a group of Overwatch players called “Team Hanjo” who have the goal of getting the lowest Skill Rating possible in the game by losing every single game. Two of them already have a Skill Rating of 1, the lowest you can get.
I’ve been sewing and watching them deliberately losing games accompanied by cheerful Christmas music and it’s really getting me into the spirit of the season.
My fave is when one of them said, “Man, I tried solo queuing yesterday and won five matches in a row. I’m going to rise back into Diamond by accident. :(” and another guy was like “That’s the struggle.”
The struggle of trying to be the worst.
also to add on from what I heard they’re actually really nice people. There’s this one clip (that I wish I could find again) of them helping a junkrat get an achievement and they like to help lower level players learn the basics of the game in hopes they can move to higher ranks.
They say they like doing this just for fun and if they’re in a 6 man stack there’s really no harm.
