Hey! I'm sorry to bother but I wanted to know, what program do you use for drawing/painting? How do you draw creatures and such (characters in general)? It's just that lava monster you drew was just INCREDIBLE and I wondered how you accomplished such masterpiece!

Nooo your not bothering, and thank you ;u;

I use Corel Painter Essentials 4. It’s like a nice version of Paint really :T but not as nice as like Photoshop or Sai…

glob if I knew how I do ;;o;; I just roll with it when making charas. I honestly never have any idea what i’m doing

Some weeks I want to draw everything I see and sleeping seems like a waste because of all the art I want to do. Some weeks just picking up a pencil seems exhausting. But part of succeeding as an artist is coming to terms with being uninspired and learning how to work even when you’re seriously not in the zone. Remember it will come back; even if it feels like your talent and passion has gone away, it’s going to return again. It’s ok to feel burned out, and it doesn’t make you a failure. Rest when you need to, and keep pushing through.

The first ever computer animated film, Pixar’s Toy Story was released on November 22nd, 1995, and became the highest grossing film of that year.

Jeffrey Katzenberg often gave notes that he wanted more edge. Pixar presented an early draft of the film to Disney on November 19, 1993. The result was disastrous. The film was deemed unwatchable and John Lasseter recalls simply hanging his head in shame. It presented Woody as a “sarcastic jerk” who was constantly insulting the other toys. Katzenberg took Walt Disney Feature Animation president Peter Schneider in the hall after the screening and asked him why it was bad, Schneider responded that it “wasn’t theirs anymore.” Disney immediately shut down production pending a new script. The story team spent a week on a new script to make Woody a more likable character, instead of the “sarcastic jerk” he had been. (IMDb)

  • someone:

    Why are you so obsessed with monsters anyway?

  • me, internally:

    I have always an intense identification with non-human creatures. They help me with self-identification. They're allowed to stray from typical beauty standards, which appeals to me, and they are allowed to be gender nonconforming, not to mention not have any gender at all. Typically "ugly" parts are turned into wonderful and handsome or beautiful form. Monsters are a really interesting way for me to accept both myself and my own standards of beauty.

  • me, out loud:

    they sometimes have multiple arms and muscles and are hot
