Yep it’s confirmed, or at least it’s confirmed that the murderer was inside of Springtrap, which is a shame imo because I liked Springtrap’s design and I wish he wasn’t “purple guy” or w/e the fandom calls him

I dunno where you actually access them in-game, but there are canon images of a man literally being torn apart within Springtrap’s wiring (you can find these here and here but MAJOR MAJOR WARNING FOR DISTURBING GRAPHIC CONTENT), and at the end of night 5 (I haven’t played but this is confirmed/others have played it), the little pixel mini game you play at the end of the night ends with the purple man climbing into the Springtrap/yellow Bonnie suit and suddenly blood goes everywhere and he falls to the ground twitching and spasming (like in the trailer).

So basically, the murderer climbed into Springtrap in hopes of escaping, but the spring trap that the animatronic is named after went off and he ended up suffering the same fate that u would suffer if u failed in the original FNAF 1, being crushed and mutilated to death.
