// Hey, friends, I just had someone try a fishing attempt on my blog.  If it wasn’t a bot and instead a real person: back up, creep.

That being said, apparently this is a thing that has happened before to other people, and I’m grateful for my suspicion.  If you get a youtube video (one by C.rosa R.osa in my case - apparently a favorite for this) randomly sent in as a submission, and you see some name with a sketchy h.otmail email address linked to it, DO NOT CLICK ON THE EMAIL ADDRESS.  The video is just a link to y.outube, yes, but the email link is not.  It is a fishing attempt and will lead you to a blank page.  Fortunately I looked this up before I did anything, so joke’s on you asshole.

This is so incredibly random, and I’ve never had this happen before, but it weirded me tf out enough to make a post about it.

Anyway, again, for that person who submitted that - get the hell off of my blog and off of tumblr.  Ridiculous.

Hey heads up, this is what it looks like:

I don’t usually click on the e-mail anyway, but thank God for this post. I’m blocking and deleting this submission.
Watch out, guys !

I received this in my inbox today as well, though I didn’t click on it. So just thought everyone should be aware.

I got this in my inbox yesterday, luckily I didn’t click on it. Be careful folks!

I just had this anonymously submitted to my blog right after seeing this post? What kinda fucking voodoo bullshit just happened?

This happened to me a few days ago so spreading awareness

Hey if you live in south west Texas anywhere along the coast and up to San Antonio, Austin, and Houston, check your local weather updates because Hurricane Harvey is supposed to hit us friday night.

Please evacuate if they tell you to. If you dont have to, be sure you have plenty of batteries, water (fill up your bathtubs so you can use the water to flush), ice (for your perishable food if your power goes out), gas if you have a generator, flashlights, and plenty of non-perishables.

I suggest getting a portable charger for your phone and making sure its charged up too.

**Also, pet owners**:
Make sure your pets have tags and you have your vets contact info. A lot of animals get out during storms.

If you think your dog wont be able to go to the bathroom outside, I suggest buying Puppy Potty Training Pads. That way they can to the the bathroom inside but its on a nice litte sheet that you can just toss.

If you are able to take your dogs out, i suggest taking them out on a leash or checking your fence first. Sometimes storms can knock down a fence without you knowing, so be careful if you’re used to just letting your dog out in the back yard.

Finally:
• stay away from windows
• stay inside
• keep updated
• NEVER run your generator inside
• watch out for flooding, if the waterlooks too deep or you’re not sure, dont drive through it. Turn around.
• be safe

If you’re like me and you live in an apartment and this is your first hurricane you have to deal with by yourself feel free to message me if you wanna talk. I’m from Houston so I have some experience with these things lol

“As an Asian Pacific Islander, representation matters. Seeing a character that resembles me in appearance and culture inspired me to pursue portraying Maui. When I first saw the marketing for Moana, I instantly felt a connection to Maui, and I just knew that with my craftsmanship skills and performance abilities, I’d be able to breathe life into this character.

I spent months searching for stretch fabric that matches my skin tone as close as possible, with respect to adapting Maui to me, rather than putting on a cultural costume. I spent over 50 hours meticulously hand-inking all of the tattoos based on the designs in the book The Art of Moana, using fabric inks. I sewed two wigs together to create Maui’s voluminous hair, and used natural clay and twine to replicate his bone necklace. His magic fish hook took over 30 hours of work, from foam fabrication, carving and painting. To create that Disney magic, I learned to program and wire around 1,000 lights through Arduino to give Maui’s hook that powerful glow. I source and painted the leaves and sewed them with my Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine.

The response from Disney fans of all ages has been incredible, with parents Skyping their children and having me sing “You’re Welcome” to them. To be able to take folks out of the ordinary and have them experience the extraordinary is very fun. To compete in the Crown Championships of Cosplay, and be recognized with a 2nd Place win by a panel of special effects artists and industry figures simply topped off the experience.

Cosplay is a blend of science and art, and being able to develop my craftsmanship skills and partner them with my performance abilities creates a magical experience. I thrive in these little pockets of shared sunshine where we can step outside of our ordinary lives and create the world we’ve imagined. In addition, being a plus-size cosplayer has encouraged many to be more body-positive and accepting of themselves and others.“
